Prayer For Timothy Simoneuax

Many of you know Bro. Tremayne Simoneaux, Missionaries to Milawi. My husband grew up around the wonderful people and we have many family and friend connections through the years!! Their son, Timothy started complaining with pressure to the ear, a long story short, he has menengitis and is in need of continued prayer! He has been flown to Joburg (Africa) and is unconscious and the doctors are worried today because his blood pressure is extremely low and not responding to medications. Just about now, they are doing surgery to put tubes in to drain the fluid to relieve pressure. This young man is 12 years old and the family is believing that God will take care of him. We all know that He is able. Please continue to pray for Timothy Simoneaux. You can see the updates on his condition on his aunts blog, Sis. Tracie Smith. She updates as she speaks to Timo's mother, her sister. God Bless and keep Timothy and this family!

Be sure to see "Timo's" blog. I am overwhelmed with his obvious burden for the children in his country! http://timosmklife.blogspot.com/

Walmart Employee: "What you want on the cake?"
Customer: "Best Wishes Suzanne" and underneath that "We will miss you".

Thanks for your prayers for Cherish

I want to thank everyone who has had Cherish in your prayers! A NASTY flu bug hit us last Wednesday and is still hanging on! It has been a severe stomach flu and Cherish ran a fever of over 102 for about 36 hours and it would not go down with any medications or cold baths. Bro. & Sis. Rick Keyes and my hubby and I prayed for her with oil and within about 45 minutes it was gone and has not come back! All praise to God! She still has had no solids since last Tuesday. She continued to drink fluids in small amounts until today, all of the sudden today, she absolutely refused any liquid, she would say, "No, not aver, aver, aver." (ever) Her doctor told us by phone this evening (Sunday, which we all know that it means that we were not at church!) to take her to the Children's Hospital Emergency. We did that, a long story short, they started IV's right away and did blood work. It is a severe 7 day virus and obviously left her dehydrated. After the fluids through IV, she perked up, called the nurses "My Fwiends" and they called her "Princess" which she has been nick-named. She is "Mommy's Princess" and "Daddy's Boogaboo!" She slept all the way home and went straight to bed. That is why I'm free now!! We are so thankful for the diagnosis! As exhausted parents, you fear the worst in something like this with the time period being so lengthy! We want to thank those of you who knew and were praying, and "Thank you, Jesus!" We are believing that tomorrow will be the road to strength and FOOD (and rest for mom & dad!)

"Oh, God!"

I know that this blog has become a Cherish blog, but then again, I did name it "To Cherish!" At the age of 2 1/2 she thinks the world is about her and since since she is only 2, my world IS pretty much about her!

Last week, Stephen had to be at a Home Missions Executive Board Meeting, Cherish and I went along for the ride, and tried to shop while he was at the meeting, that's another story! We were in Manteca and I found Target and TJ Max! Not too bad but I had A LOT of time to kill. Then as we were LEAVING town, I found Kohls, Old Navy, Ross, Walmart........I was pretty agrivated!! Anyways, we were getting in the car, Cherish and I, she was getting up in her car seat and she said, "Oh God!!!" I immediately said, "Cherish, you know better, we do not say that!" Before the words were out of my mouth, she changed her voice like she was praying and said, "Oh God, Help Me!" Then right away, she cocked her silly head and in a real smarty tone said, "Sorry, God!" She is too much!

I Wuv Jesus!

This past Sunday night we had a missionary, Bro. Gration from Papau New Guinea, with us at Pentecostal Tabernacle. Sis. Grationn really took to Cherish and Cherish to her. It was in the middle of Bro. Gration's ministering and Cherish was sitting between the Sister and I, Sis. Gration was whispering, "Jesus!" every now and then. She looked down and smiled at Cherish, Cherish tilted her little head, smiled, and said, "I Wuv Jesus!" Then she tapped me on the arm while still looking at Sis. and said, "Mommy Wuv Jesus, too!" Of course, we both thought it so sweet.

The more I have thought about that, the happier it has made me. First of all that she recognized the sweet spirit, was proud to announce that she "wuvs" Jesus, and that she new as a fact that Mommy does, too!

We are so thankful that Misti has grown up loving God and is such a dedicated Godly young lady, but it is in the back of your mind, "How did we do everything? Can we do it, again? This world is so different now........" But the basic fact is established. I just pray that our lives continue to exemplify the fact and she is always as assured as she is now!
This picture has nothing to do with my story, it is just a cute one of Cherish feeding her baby by her MESSY kitchen. (common occurance) That baby has been "Bery Sick" and has to go to "Dr. Alper and getta shot, " lately!!

Did Cherish Like The Popcorn or Circus Better??

Click below for clip:

The Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus was in Fresno this week. We have taken Cherish every year since she was born. The first year she slept, last year she discovered popcorn there and got little out of the circus itself, but this year? She had the popcorn in the chair beside her, rarely took her arm out of the popcorn box or her eyes off of the animals. She can't decide if she liked the elephants, the horses or the clowns the best! What a delight when you look at all of it from the eyes of a 2 year old. Life is a new experience when you look from her point of view. We have to feel of the stucco on the wall of buildings, we have to stop and "snell" the flowers, or crouch down and look at the little bugs. Hmmmmm, what a world of discovery. We could all learn from that, can't we?

Look Mom, "Ew-e-phants
Why won't Mommy wear the hat?
No, Dad, it's my popcorn!
Ummm, popcorn, cotton candy or juice? Excuse my leg, too busy to pull down the skirt!!
And, we have our very own clown at the Hill House Circus!!!

And Cherish didn't want to leave! Let's stay and dance, Mommy?

Cherish Learning The Pledge

There was a flag left in our front yard by a realtor on the 4th. Cherish was playing with it, so I decided to teach her the pledge. Her daddy loved it, wanted a video of it. So he recited and Misti recorded. Listen close. (please excuse her princess nightgown, she had her bath already)

Pretty Princess

Cherish loves the "princesses" and loves to twirl like a princess when she gets her full dresses on. Last night before church, she saw her dress still on the hanger and said, "Oh, a pretty princess dress!" Then after she got dressed she twirled for me. Notice the scrape on her cheek, she opened a drawer into her face. By the time church was over, she had a black eye! She was dancing and jumping to the music while everyone was worshiping and bumped into the pew in front of us!!! I think I need to tell her that the princesses would be a little more careful! When we tell her that we love her, she lays her head side ways and smiles all sweet and says, "Tanks!" meaning "thanks!" She is too much!

My Girls Celebrating the 4th

Fireworks from Misti's front yard. I'm jealous. We always celebrate at my house to watch these, however, she lives 5 blocks closer this year, so she got to have the party (and the clean-up)!!

We have to set our fireworks off on the 3rd because we work our firework stands late on the 4th! Cherish wasn't so sure if she liked them or not. The loud ones scared her pretty bad. She was really concerned that Adam would burn himself. We all went to Misti's house which is very near the high school football stadium and we were able to sit in her yard and watch the fireworks. Several of our friends and family were there. We enjoyed the Wileys, which is Gary and Linda Wiley, Adam's parents. Jeff and Nancy Oliver were there with their children. Cherish idolizes all of them. Madison, which is 10, has always been a little mommy to her and takes care of her around the church. Madison kept posing for pictures and I'll put a few of Cherish trying to do the same thing! Our assistant, Jesse and Angela Pinheiro enjoyed the fireworks with us, he brought Vanilla Creme soda's that were in worldly looking bottles, tasted good, but I wander what the neighbors thought? LOL!! Several of our young men and my sister, Candi had a great time with us, too!

Sissy's love each other!!!

Where do I put this hand Mom?

Skyler Oliver, Madison Oliver, and Cherish!

Let Freedom Ring

Dwight D. Eisenhower:
We seek peace, knowing that peace is the climate of freedom.
Yes, it is that time of the year!! We are all gearing up for the 4th of July! I personally have decided that the 4th of July needs to be changed to a more convenient time of the year. As a church, our men set up 56 of the actual wooden structure fireworks booths within about an hour from home, that was last week. This week, our church sales at 2 booths for 6 days, which takes a lot of man power, then next week, our men take all 56 booths back down again! It is a huge job for 2 1/2 weeks. A great fundraiser, though. I want it changed because smack dab in the middle of all of the work, is Adam and Misti's anniversary (last year it was the wedding!) and then 3 days later is Stephen's birthday. Plus, we sit in those booths, (I sit for 6 hours a day from 10-4) and it averages 98 to 105 degrees here right now!! So, my point is, if we could change to March or April, it would be more convenient!!!
Today, sitting in the booth, I was visiting with one of our dear ladies from the church and we were talking about having a relationship with God. That moved on to the financial situation in California right now, which we all know is a drastic situation, which led to the conversation of our government and the upcoming election, which of course led us to the "end time" and theories, etc. All of these things being an uncomfortable conversation because of the unknown. But it led me to the thought of freedoms and liberty. I had to think that no matter how difficult it may be for so many of us, we live in freedom. There was a group of Chinook helicopters, that's the ones with the double propellers, that came above above us. It was about 6 or 8 of them in formation, it was very noisy and quite impressive. We spoke then of the great freedom we have as a country. We didn't have to be concerned that they were going to drop troops, bombs, etc. We are safe and content here in our country. How many countries or people can say that? Can you imagine living in constant fear each minute for our lives! Thank you God the we live in the USA.
The greatest of the freedoms being the freedom to worship. There is nothing keeping us from gathering at the church tonight! To worship the one who gave us FREEDOM from our sins! We are truly a blessed people! When we consider all of these freedoms, I for one feel ashamed for worrying about the economy!
I pray that each of you have a wonderful July 4th filled with love, happiness, lots of food and fireworks (you can buy from our stands if you wish!!LOL) and most of all, a gratefulness for all of the freedoms that you can think of!

He Leads Me

http://www.freefoto.com/thanks.jsp
He leads us on paths we did not know;
Upward He leads us, though our steps be slow,
Though oft we faint and falter on the way,
Though storms and darkness oft obscure the day;
Yet when the clouds are gone,
We know He leads us on.
He leads us on through all the unquiet years;
Past all our dreamland hopes and doubts and fears,
He guides our steps, and o'erclouded days;
We know His will is done;
And still He leads us on.
~N.L. Zinzendorf
Often we forget that He is leading us. We feel that we are fighting just to find our foot hold. However, with the services at our church this weekend, the Lord spoke directly to me while Bro. Baglin, the former pastor of our church, prayed with me. I am profoundly aware today that "still He leads us on!"
